Festival Artwork Needed
We are looking for a festival artist for this year’s Shrimp & Grits Festival. The artwork will be copied and sold at the festival, September 19-21. The artist will receive a monetary prize plus the option to auction off the artwork at the 2008 festival. Please keep in mind that the artwork must represent the Shrimp & Grits festival, it must be colorful and it must be 24×36 or proportional to 24×36.

Hi Sherry,
Thanks for your interest. To submit a design idea for the contest, please send a sketch of your proposed artwork on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper along with two photographs of paintings you have done. (Hint: if your proposed design includes people, send photographs of paintings you have done with people in them). Mail these items to Jekyll Island Authority, Attn: Beth Burnsed, 100 James Rd, Jekyll Island, GA 31527.
Our selection will be made based on the sketched designs. If your artwork is chosen, you will be contacted, so please include your contact information on the back of your sketch.
The winner will receive $300 in cash plus the opportunity to be at the festival signing their artwork and auctioning off their origninal artwork on site.
The deadline for idea submissions is June 15.
