In June’s issue of Beachscape, Summer Waves held an exciting contest for guests to vote online for their favorite Summer Waves attraction. Hundreds of votes were received but only one winner could be chosen; Minerva Young from Jacksonville, Florida was chosen Wednesday, June 19 as the lucky winner for a week-long getaway for her family to the luxurious Jekyll Island Club Hotel! The getaway package also includes Club Juniors, a great day camp for the kids.

Wait; there’s more! The winning Summer Waves Water Park attraction is Turtle Creek with 26.9% of votes, trailed by the Frantic Atlantic Wave Pool at 21.2%. Turtle Creek is a half-mile lazy-river ride that takes you through the heart of Summer Waves at a relaxing 3mph for all the relaxation that a person could ask for; guess we can say the guests are a bit lazy these days.

Jekyll Island and Summer Waves are presenting you with tons of booming fun this 4^th of July weekend.  Enjoy twice the fun this year with a fireworks showcase on July 4^th at the Jekyll Island Beachdeck and again July 5^th at Summer Waves.

Don’t miss out on the fun July 4^th beginning at 5:00 PM on the beachdeck as the Big Dawg and Paul show celebrate with us with lots of games and prizes.  Enjoy the tantalizing treats of food vendors ranging from funnel cakes and cotton candy to hamburgers and pulled pork.  As night falls, part one of an amazing display of fireworks will capture you and bring delight to all in attendance.

July 5^th Summer Waves brings tons of splashing fun enjoyable for the whole family.  As  5:00 PM hits guest can enjoy music, prizes, karaoke, and part two of an outstanding firework display. Mark your calendars for the upcoming celebration.
