You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy the beautiful courses of Jekyll Island.

The golf courses on Jekyll Island abound with native species of animals and plants.

Explore the lives and habitats of egrets, herons, deer and raccoon, turtles, frogs

and many more island creatures.

Both morning and afternoon tours are scheduled for the summer.

Tours will be led by

Lydia C. Thompson (Wild Bird Unlimited Nature Shop’s Chief Naturalist and Artist-in-Residence),

Dear Event Volunteers of the U.S. Kids® Golf Jekyll Island Cup:

On behalf of the Jekyll Island Authority and Jekyll Island Golf Club, I would like to thank you for all of your hard work during the 2009 Jekyll Island Cup golf tournament. Your commitment to helping junior golfers and guests to our island is sincerely appreciated.

The Jekyll Island Cup has enjoyed great success in the past 6 years primarily due to the volunteers from the golf staff, Jekyll Island Golf Associations and Jekyll Island residents.

The goal of the Jekyll Island Cup tournament is to help grow the game of golf both as a competitive sport but also as family sport. The Jekyll Island event is always popular because we are able to deliver the family atmosphere that includes incredible hospitality through our terrific volunteers.

Thanks again for your generous support of the 2009 Jekyll Island Cup Golf Tournament and the Jekyll Island Golf Club.
